i will not apologise
1. though reserved, i am generally very easy going and easy to get along with.
2. i am also polite and conscious of others feelings and misgivings almost to a fault.
3. i tend to avoid confronation with anyone at all costs especially with stupid people with whom any discussion/attempt to reason will decrease my I.Q by at least 100. i find them unpleasant and they ruin my day. same goes for pointless dialogue.
4. call me a snob if you must but i have absolutely no patience for people unable to hold a logical discussion, relatively intelligent conversation and the ability to agree to disagree on whatever is being discussed (translation: closed minded people give me the shits).
5. yes, there is a difference between a healthy discussion on whatever topic and an argument that goes round and round with no logical end (refer to number 3 above)
6. i have a sense of humour but that does not mean that you can insult me, my intelligence and my capabilities all in one breath and then laugh it off.
7. i have (surprise, surprise) a breaking point - i might be polite but i am not a door mat.
8. if you irritate me and push all the right buttons i will come out swinging, and i usually hit below the belt.
9. considering how much i actually tend to avoid confrontations and disgreements i refuse to apologise for what was said in the heat of the moment. yeah i was mean what i said hurt. i'm sorry you feel bad but i will not apologise/take back any statement: i meant every word of it.
10. maybe now you will think twice before opening your big mouth and make general disparaging remarks that have no merit whatsoever.
11. shauri yako if you feel the need to hold a grudge - i have the attention span of a housefly and the memory of a goldfish. once i say my piece i'm done and i move on.
12. did i already say that i will not apologise? i cannot stress that enough. to hell with your wounded pride and the fact that i (allegedly) emasculated you.
13. however, anytime you want to have a meaningful conversation and discussions on anything from whether men should wax their nether regions and the importance of spanish soaps to politics and world affairs drop me a line. we can start off with a clean slate. if in doubt read number 11.
14. that said, do not forget: do not mess with a woman from the slopes/ i am woman hear me roar blah blah etcetera (insert appropriate qoute/phrase of your liking)
15. have a nice day!
random rant of the day
NOT MUCH TO DESTROY
"A quake of this kind could easily produce significant damage, but I wonder what kind of infrastructure they have there in the region. There may not have been much to destroy," said Dr Andrzej Kijko, head of seismology unit at South Africa's Council for Geoscience.
forgive me for being a tad offended, but whatever happened of worrying about loss of life and the possible destruction of people's livelihoods? they may be poor and disadvantaged but that does not mean that what they do have is unimportant and insignificant. the nerve!

Now what brought this on!
Gal, I hear you on about all your points above - especially the ones about intelligent conversation and not being a doormat.
As for the statement at the end - where is he so we can kick his ass (not apologising for that statement either) :D
teehee poi, didn't expect you to take the rephrasing quite so seriously ... not leaving anything to chance, are you? LOL
I feel you on your points kabisa! It's good to state your stance. As for that punk how the heck do you get a doctorate with that kind of ignorance?

I pity the poor person who is sitting on his laurels awaiting an apology that is not forthcoming.
That Geologist should have his certification taken away from him as he just lost 100 off his IQ as well by saying this.
