rain dance
... does anyone know where i can learn one? i swear, there have been heat advisories through the weekend and all week. the weather people are practially having an orgasm telling us how hot its going to get. this morning the dude was so excited to let everyone know that it would be 94 degrees with a heat index of 105-110. then he sounds kinda disappointed when he says rain is on the way. the rain can't come fast enough, the heat is making me daft. there is an upside though - even if i hate this extreme heat come winter i will be thankful i live in texas. no major snow storms (or even snow) in my neck of the woods and all that.
in other randomness, here's a story about people revolting against those delays that make no sense especially when the say you can't get off the plane for hours on end. ok, not revolting, but it sure beats sitting in a plane and doing nothing apart from grumbling under your breath cos you are afraid that homeland security will be called on your ass for bitching about waiting (that fear is justified, the pilot did call the cops) really, flying in the states sometimes is just like taking a matatu and a bad one at that.
which reminds me, there is this commercial for gum that is so one of my favourites. his dancing just makes me happy. if only going through airport security was this fun.

Which is why I absolutely refuse to visit Texas in the summer. I don't know how anyone can survive when you wake up in the morning and the temp is already 85. Damn!
As for flying in stato...no comment. Sometimes I wonder what freedom it is they talk about cuz I sure don't feel free when I'm travelling.

Neighbourhood's lookin gud. love the new look. As for the heat... well, I just crank up the A.C and avoid exposure as much as i can. The weather is just wicked in this places.
That gum AD? makes the whole process look too much easier than it is.
