one month hiatus ...
i have been away too long. waaaaaaay too long. mpaka i almost feel sheepish blogging in. but while i was away, i think that i finally got a hang of the blogging thing, cos i wanted to blog about stuff that was happening, but couldn't for the life of me actually get down to it (procrastination shall be the death of me for sure) but in the past one month alot has happened ... hmm, lets see - well, i did my exams and actually did alot better than i expected considering that i played around much of this semester, but still didnt do my best. my new semester's resolution is to stop with the clubbing and procrastinating and get serious. i hope this lasts.
i have been quite the tourist lately, i have been sight seeing texas and i have to admit that its a beautiful place. i first went to austin to visit my dad, and had fun being daddy's little girl again. t'was fun hanging out with him. i did get alot of flak from my family members about that though, including my brother who refused to come along but i figured that they would get over it. live and let live has been my motto for the past two years, and as much as i may not agree with the choices that he has made and the paths he has chosen to follow he is still my father and i know he loves me and i know for a fact i could've done alot worse when it came to that department. so. yeah. had fun in austin, doing the whole amusement park and swimming thing but it was too hot!! menn, and did i learn my lesson - sunscreen is a must cos i got sunburn like the mutha. the next weekend i went to dallas and had a ball visiting my deskmate from highschool and we had lots and lots of fun catching up and whatever. it was that memorial weekend thing that goes on every year and i met guys i hadnt seen in ages. that was a good meet and greet weekend - i got everyone's number and e-mail address so im good for a while.
and ... my roomate moved out!! sorry to say, but it was good to see her go. i had missed having my own space and privacy and doing all the things i loved doing like sitting on the sofa in my undies having a burping contest all by myself (i promise that that is just a figure of speech where i'm from, really!!) having to clean up only my own mess and stuff like that. and i found out that when she is hundreds of miles and a time zone away she is tolerable and fun to be with. its just prolonged periods of togetherness that i have a problem with. she even noticed that i have become more chatty since she moved out and yes, we have become closer, so this is one of those instances where distance is a good thing.
those are the highlights i can remember as of now, but now i am back to summer school in an endeavour to graduate in three years instead of four so i shall be blogging in more often cos i shall be online for research alot, just not to check mail like the last couple of weeks. its amazing that within few weeks you can meet so many people who are just blog topics waitng to happen. and i promise to get started as soon as possible and i also promise that i shall give a hundred bucks to whoever (whomever... ?which goes where? someone enlighten me!) accuse me of, and prove me guilty of procrastinatin. yeah, that should be incentive enough.

I'd love to hear more about sight seeing in Texas...I've never been, so I must live vicariously. So, pretty please with sugar on it?
@ msanii - kwani you went to that bash that had no a/c? well, the trick to dallas is to do your own thing. focus on the individuals and dont only go to kenyan events and clubs and you shall have a blast!
